Alphabet Poem of Similes

In Literacy Year 4 have been exploring poetry. We have been focussing on the images that writers can create when they use similes. We have written an alphabet poem of similes. We hope you like the images we have created.

As, As, As
as angelic as a sleeping child
as bouncy as a spring lamb
as cold as ice
as dazzling as a diamond
as exciting as a football match
as fast as a fish
as green as grass
as hairy as a bear
as icy as a snowball
as jolly as a snowman
as a kind as a grandma
as lively as a lion
as many as a thousand
as noisy as a rockstar
as orange as the sun
as pink as pig
as quick as a cheetah
as runny as blood
(as rosy as cheeks)
as stripy as a tiger
as tiny as a tea leaf
as unhelpful as an annoying brother
as vicious as a lie
as white as snow
as x-rayed as a patient
as yummy as chocolate
as zestful as a lemon
We hope you enjoyed!!
